Glass is an amorphous (non-crystalline) solid material which is often transparent and has widespread practical, technological, and decorative usage in things like window panes, tableware, glass backsplash or worktops. Because of its solid thick, translucent texture the material is tough and has a pleasant tactility, while still remaining easy to clean. Glass is very tough and durable. It is a very strong material and can withstand a lot of use. Even after years your glass worktop will still look as good as new if you look after it. It’s shock-proof and largely insensitive to mechanical damage. Glass worktops are 1.5″ (15mm) thick or more. This is a standard thickness, but they can also come in 2″(48mm), 3″ (72mm) and 4″ (96mm). There are different patterns available like clear glass, textured glass, and coloured glass, in transparent, translucent, and opaque varieties. Choosing glass worktops will give the kitchen/bathroom a smooth, glossy contemporary finish.
