Heart of the Home – proud sponsors of Rianna’s fund

Riannas Fund, a charity set up some six years ago to help children in Africa has received a much need financial boost after teaming up with Heart of the Home Kitchens and Bedrooms based in Leatherhead. In the agreement, a donation from the sales of kitchens and bedrooms sold in Heart’s new showroom in Ashtead will be donated to the Charity for the next year.

Rianna’s Fund has been supporting vulnerable children in Africa for six years. Recently the charity has also started support in India. Hundreds of children have and will continue to benefit from the support of Rianna’s Fund. Mike Moran from Heart of the Home said ‘I know this charity personally, I want to support Riannas Fund and the good work they do in any way that I can. It is important that we do not turn away from suffering, just because it is not on our door step.’

Rianna’s Fund projects have included being a main sponsor of the new Nakulabye Junior School in a slum area of Kampala, Uganda. The old school conditions were very poor. Rianna’s Fund had a vision of what new, properly constructed school would make. Members of the charity joined staff and children from the local community to celebrate the opening of their new school March 2008.
